10th Anniversary of NUS ASA Celebration

On 6 April 2026, the NUS Alumni Sing-Along Group gathered to celebrate a milestone anniversary.

The NUS Alumni Sing-Along Group began in 2015 as a small gathering of alumni united by a shared love for music. With early support from the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) in providing venues and logistical arrangements, the group was formally established in 2016. Leadership over the years has guided its steady growth, with Mr Kevin Ee (Engineering ’84, MSc ’95) serving as the inaugural president from 2016 to2017, followed by Ms Joanna Loo (Science ’71) from 2018 to 2023. During the COVID-19 period, activities continued through innovative formats, including music-related talks by invited experts and recorded video presentations.

In 2024, Ms Cheong Lai Siong (Science ’85, Arts & Social Sciences ’86) assumed the presidency, building on this strong foundation. The year 2026 marks a significant milestone—our 10th anniversary. We extend our sincere appreciation to past leaders for their vision and dedication, and to OAR for its unwavering support. Thanks are also due to our committee, volunteers, and members whose enthusiasm sustains our monthly programmes, from singalongs and jam sessions to line dancing and community outreach.
