On Friday evening, 22 May 2026, NUS College of Design and Engineering (CDE) community gathered at the NUSS Kent Ridge Guild House for an engaging and lively networking session that brought together Class Ambassadors (CAs) from diverse backgrounds across the Class of 1990 to 2026. With about 100 CAs, alumni, and faculty members and staff in attendance, the event offered a meaningful opportunity to reconnect, expand networks, and strengthen ties across cohorts.

The programme opened with an address by Associate Professor Arthur Tay, CDE Vice Dean of Alumni Relations, who shared the latest updates on the Class Ambassador programme and highlighted upcoming alumni events. His remarks set a positive tone for the evening, underscoring the value of sustained alumni engagement and the important role Class Ambassadors play in building a connected CDE community.

As the evening unfolded, guests enjoyed a warm and relaxed atmosphere while mingling and exchanging ideas. It was especially heartening to see spontaneous mini reunions among fellow alumni catching up, sharing stories, and renewing friendships. Alumni, Mr Lim Kay Teck (Mechanical Engineering ’90), Er Ho Chee Yon (Civil Engineering ’76) and Dr Lee Man Wei (Electrical Engineering ’95) also shared with fellow CAs how they have made the effort to consistently gather and meet over the years, reflecting the strong bonds continue to maintain even decades after graduation. Attendees left the event with refreshed connections and enthusiasm for the initiatives ahead.
