Abhimanyu Goel (MSc ISD ’16) and Aakanksha Jain (MSc ISD ’16) have drawn on their architecture and urban planning backgrounds to pay homage to Singapore in a unique format: 3D-printed chocolate inspired by the country’s architecture and heritage. Their company, Modesi Chocolates, offers a range of beautiful treats: from chocolate shaped like Peranakan tiles and Singapore shophouses to edible replicas of landmarks such as the Esplanade and Gardens by the Bay. 3. Janice Wong; Chocolate Icons Inspired by Singapore Architecture, $55
Take a tour through Singapore with the Chocolate Icons Inspired by Singapore Architecture box from the eponymous brand of Chef Janice Wong (Arts & Social Sciences ’06). The set features familiar attractions, such as Jewel, Esplanade and the Supertrees, crafted in flavours such as Pistachio, Kaffir Lime Caramel and Praline Poprocks.
4. Epilogue; Senator, I’m Singaporean Extrait de Parfum, $164
Co-founded by Joshua Foong (Business ’25), Epilogue pays tribute to Singapore through their Little Red Dot collection, bottling “the spirit of a city shaped by memory, rhythm, and everyday beauty.” One of three scents in the collection, Senator, I’m Singaporean combines top notes of calamansi, ocean and rambutan; heart notes of orchid, hibiscus and metal; and base notes of wet soil, concrete and white musk to evoke the tropical city in a garden that we call home.
5. Scent Journer; SG61 Gift Box, $60
Scent Journer celebrates the familiar scents of kaya toast and salted egg in its SG61 Gift Box, encapsulating them in candle form. Founded by chemistry graduate Joyce Lian (Science ’19), the brand “deconstructs and elevates Asian ingredients” through its perfumes, diffusers, and hand creams, among other products.
6. Nimbu; matching Ember Red clothing, from $47
Dress the whole family in red and white with Nimbu’s National Day Collection, from NUS alumna Kriti Gupta (Engineering + USP ’10). Known for its breathable cotton fabrics, heritage-inspired prints and matching family sets, Nimbu takes a circular approach to fashion through its Buy Use Return programme: customers can return their pre-worn Nimbu clothes in exchange for store credit – a sustainable solution designed to keep pace with fast-growing kids.
7. Supermama; Singapore Stickers Eco Bag, $15
