The gathering brought together alumni across research, industry, entrepreneurship and technology, creating an opportunity to reconnect, exchange perspectives and reflect on the different paths that can follow a graduate journey at National University of Singapore.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A key highlight was a sharing by Dr Andreea Radulescu (MBA, PhD ’22) Venture Partner (New Materials) at Entropia Capital, on \u201cLessons from Crossing the Lab-to-Market Divide.\u201d Drawing on her journey from chemistry and nanotechnology research to entrepreneurship, technology commercialisation and deep-tech investment, she reflected on the challenges of making the leap from research to entrepreneurship, and the need to better equip students and researchers with the entrepreneurial mindset, commercial skills and practical exposure to translate ideas from the lab into real-world applications and consider entrepreneurship as a potential career pathway. The lunch also explored the growing role of AI in research, how researchers can continue to add value alongside AI, and the importance of balancing its opportunities with potential risks.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

NUS President Professor Tan Eng Chye (Science \u201885) joined the lunch, together with Chief Alumni Officer Ms <\/span>Ovidia Lim-Rajaram (Arts & Social Sciences \u201889) and Acting Dean of NUS Graduate School Professor Wong Lim Soon, who co-hosted the session.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
