On 26 February 2026, the NUS Senior Alumni community gathered at the Scholar Restaurant, Kent Ridge Guild House, for their annual Lo Hei celebration. Welcoming approximately 70 members and friends, the event kicked off with an energetic retro dance performance that set a festive tone for the afternoon.
The highlight was the traditional tossing of Yu Sheng to usher in prosperity for the Year of the Fire Horse. Dressed in auspicious red and traditional attire, attendees shared in the spirited ritual, filling the room with laughter and well-wishes.
Beyond the symbolic tossing, the gathering served as a meaningful touchpoint for alumni to reconnect over a warm luncheon. The afternoon beautifully illustrated the enduring camaraderie and shared heritage of the National University of Singapore’s senior community. It was a celebration defined by good food, nostalgic fellowship, and a collective reaffirmation of the bonds that unite generations of graduates.
